I know, it's your favorite subject -- bacterial skin infections. Nobody likes them but most of us get them. Some need to be treated with antibiotics and others actually just need to be treated by draining the abscess.

This week we'll take a look at some common skin infections caused by bacteria. I hope you don't ever have to use this information, but it's here if you need it.


Bacterial Skin Infection Overview
Bacterial skin infections are very common, and they can range from merely annoying to deadly. Do you have a rash that you think might be caused by a bacteria? Here you'll find a list of the most common bacterial skin infections.

MRSA
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a bacteria that is resistant to the usual antibiotics that kill S. aureus. Find out more about MRSA infections including how they are diagnosed and treated.
