Musculoskeletal is a term that relates to the muscles and the skeleton of the body. More specifically, the musculoskeletal system includes bones, muscles, joints, cartilage, ligaments, tendons, and bursae. Musculoskeletal diseases include arthritis, bursitis, and tendinitis, among others. Primary symptoms of musculoskeletal disease include pain, stiffness, swelling, limited range of motion, weakness, fatigue, and decreased physical function. Let's consider various types of musculoskeletal pain and how the pain affects mobility and normal function.
