When life is uncertain, here are some ways to focus on the things you can control.
| Dear Verywell readers, Hope you had as restful a weekend as possible. If you are staying at home, we know that some days, whether it's a weekend or weekday, it can be hard to stick to a routine. However, research shows that having more structure can be helpful for mental health. When life is uncertain, here are some ways to focus on the things you can control. In my family, one aspect of our routine that is very helpful is a pretty small thing: eating meals around the same time every day. It helps us feel organized and in control and reminds us to set aside time from work to eat together. We'd love to hear about the most important part of your routine, too. Share with us here. Related, I've been cooking more than ever before and always looking for recipes my toddler will also enjoy. Thought I'd share a few winners from Verywell and our sister company, The Spruce Eats: Parmesan Crusted Fish, Ginger Asparagus Chicken Stir Fry and Spinach Spaghetti. Finally, as always, let us know if there's any content you'd like to see more or less of from us.
