From Cory Silverberg, your Guide to Sexuality
As kids head back to school there are two things we can say with certainty. First, their teachers probably aren't preparing appropriate sex education lessons as part of their curriculum. Second, in order to stay safe and healthy they need at least basic sexual health education. The good news is that the sex ed. really should start at home. If you've got kids you're more than half way there. This week it's back to school for people with kids. Next week we'll do back to school for the adults themselves. ~ Cory

What Age Should Sex Education Start?

Talking About Porn: When Avenue Q Won't Do
If you haven't seen the puppet show that sings about porn, you should check it out. But I wouldn't recommend it for your kids, or as a form of sex education. Instead, if you're wondering how to talk about something as touchy as pornography with your school age child, here are some pointers. Like it or not, the world we live in now includes easy access to sexually explicit content, which means talking about porn is a form of street proofing everyone with kids should think about.
