I was there on the final day, and have brought some of the news for you! | | SABCS: New Multigene Test Predicts Recurrence Risk for DCIS News from the 34th Annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS): Dr. Lawrence Solin presented the results of a study for a new multigene assay which has been shown to predict the risk of recurrence for patients with ductal carcinoma in situ - DCIS - a precancerous breast condition. Results of this test may spare many patients from radiation and additional surgery! Read more here. | SABCS: Latinas With Breast Cancer Face Higher Morality Rates Researchers have been working on the problem of high rates of death in Hispanic women with breast cancer. Could it be due to cultural attitudes, socioeconomic factors, lack of resources, or some other cause?
