Fast food, starchy vegetables, and tortillas may seem like no-no's. However, sometimes our choices are limited and we must eat after all. Here is some information on how to use these foods to our advantage.

Good Fast Food Choices
Ideally, fast food is not the first choice for people with diabetes. However, in real life we run around and get hungry away from our kitchens just like everybody else. Remember these simple rules and fast food choices don't have to throw you off the path of good management or be void of good nutrition.

Corn Tortillas Versus Flour Tortillas
What would Mexican food dishes and restaurants be without the tortillas? They are good on their own, wrapped around food, or even used as a utensil. You have likely been asked more than once: Corn or flour? Which do you think is a better choice?

Starchy Vegetables
Vegetables are good for you right? It would seem that all of nature's vegetables should be good healthy choices. They provide vitamins, minerals, and fiber. However, if you have type 2 diabetes, you may have been told to limit starchy vegetables. Here is a list of starchy vegetables to help you remember which foods you need to watch.

Quick Diet Facts
