From Pam Stephan, your Guide to Breast Cancer
When I was in chemo, I got up an hour early every weekday to carefully make up my face. I was compensating for the lack of eyebrows, eyelashes, and a healthy color in my cheeks. And yes, I wore a wig, too. You could say I was faking good health, but it made me feel better. Now someone has done just the opposite and people are mad.

Kirilow Faked Breast Cancer on FaceBook, Now in Custody
Ashley Anne Kirilow, a 23-yr old woman defrauded more than 5000 friends on FaceBook, saying she had breast cancer. She couldn't make bail after her hearing today. How did she pull this off, and what happens to her now? Would a stunt like this make you more wary of breast cancer fundraisers?

Chemotherapy Drugs Can Cause Hair Loss
I was surprised to learn that not all chemo drugs cause hair loss. Some won't affect hair, while others may cause thinning. As for me, my hair just went on vacation the whole time. That inspired me to get a great wig.

Wigs - A Wonderful Way to Cope With Hair Loss
My wig was named "Samantha" and she was better-looking than I was! People who didn't know my health situation started complimenting me on my appearance. I got whistled at and ogled in elevators. While I rarely considered whipping off my wig in public, I resisted the impulse.

Pamper Your Fingernails During Chemo
I could have told you that Ashley Anne Kirilow was faking chemo treatment just by looking at her fingernails. Nobody who's taking chemo for 4 kinds of cancer will have long, healthy fingernails. No matter how long your nails may be, pamper them during chemo - they'll really appreciate it! That goes for toenails, too.
