From Pam Stephan, your Guide to Breast Cancer
Are you seeing pink ribbons everywhere yet? How about pink footballs in the NFL, pink fire trucks down at your fire station? You know it's that time again - Breast Cancer Awareness Month - when the spotlight is turned on The Cause! Here are some ways to turn yourself Pink this October:

Outsmarting Breast Cancer
Be aware of your own breast health by knowing that not all lumps are alike. Keep in touch with your breasts by doing your monthly breast self-exam. Be sure you understand the new mammogram guidelines.

Join In The Celebration
You can participate by joining in events such as the Komen Race for the Cure, or taking a Walk for Hope, riding on a Pink Heals Firetruck, joining an Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, baking cupcakes for sale, handing out informative literature, or wearing a pink ribbon.

Pink Ribbon Retail Therapy
Shop yourself pink or donate to a great charity - these are some ways to generate money that makes it to support organizations, patient services, and research.

In Their Own Words
I really like true stories. Survivors and supporters alike always have an interesting viewpoint on ways to honor and help. Here are some good tales that readers have sent in:
