From Ann Pizer, your Guide to Yoga

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, bringing with it an onslaught of pinkness into our lives. Many yoga-gear companies are offering special pink products, which raise not only awareness but money for breast cancer organizations. To help you decide where your money is best spent, I'm rounding up the best pink yoga products.

Thinking Pink

Pink yoga products from Manduka, Yogitoes, Jade Yoga, Gaiam and more. Some portion of each purchase benefits a variety of breast cancer organizations.

Pink Eggs

Pose of the Week - Parivrtta Janu Sirsanana

We always do a lot of forward bends and backbends in yoga, but finding a side bend is a bit more difficult. Parivrtta janu sirsasana is a great way to stretch and open the intercostal muscles between the ribs. I especially recommend including this pose in prenatal yoga practices, when you're in need of any little extra space in there you can get.
