How To Manage Stress

From Elizabeth Scott, M.S., your Guide to Stress Management

Today is National Get Out Of The Doghouse Day, which is a day for apologies, forgiveness, dropping grudges, and basically letting things go. (Note: this doesn't mean blindly trusting those who have proven untrustworthy, which could cause more stress in the future, but more letting go of petty grievances, apologizing when necessary, and letting go of grudges, even if the person is no longer in your life.)  Why should we bother with this?  The toll of relationship conflict weighs heavily on our shoulders and affects happiness as well as health.  Sharpening your forgiveness skills and getting rid of 'the doghouse' if you can, can give you peace of mind, and probably help your loved ones follow suit.  Here's to a great day, and week!

Because insincere apologies can go more harm than good, now is the right time to review the elements of a truly sincere, potentially healing apology.  Whatever the outcome, you should have a cleaner conscience and be able to move on more easily afterward.
