Solve Problems With a Snooze

Stressed? Got a tricky problem to solve? Take a shot of shuteye. Researchers at the University of Michigan have concluded that people who snoozed for an hour have a much higher threshold for frustration than non-nappers, and they invested twice as much time trying to solve a complex task. The study's author, Jennifer Goldschmied, PhD, suggested that the longer you're awake, the more your emotional control is sapped - even if you're not feeling tired. Thirty minutes should be almost as effective as an hour's nap, but there's more than one way to recharge your mind.
