From Pam Stephan, your Guide to Breast Cancer
During my treatment for breast cancer, I ate lots of beans. In fact, some days I had beans at breakfast, lunch, and supper. The fiber helped me cope with chemo side effects. Now it seems that dietary fiber has an unexpected benefit - a lower risk for breast cancer.

Eating More Fiber May Reduce Risk of Breast Cancer
If you don't like beans as much as I do, don't worry. You can get dietary fiber from berries, grains, and vegetables. Adding plant foods with a high fiber content builds up your health and may increase your resistance to breast cancer. Find out about a new study that explores this idea.

Whole Grains For Better Health
Skip the white bread and the white rice. Instead, pick up the whole-grain bread, brown rice, wild rice, oatmeal, and quinoa. You'll get more flavor as well as more fiber in your diet. Do your body a favor and go for the whole grain!

Fruits - Mighty Good For Your Health
Fruits and berries are a pleasant way to add fiber to your everyday meals. They can be added to meat dishes or they can stand alone as desserts. Many fruits taste so good - especially when they are fresh - that you won't even realize you're having a dose of fiber.

Macrobiotic Diet and Breast Cancer
If you feel inspired to take a plunge into a healthy, peaceful way of life and diet, you may want to consider the macrobiotic approach. It takes quite a commitment to practice a balanced macrobiotic lifestyle, but it appears to have many benefits for body and spirit.
