Last year, I worked with a client who was over 80 years old. She was an avid golfer, but suffered a major loss of functioning after a stroke. As she struggled through movements she had once done with ease, she said - "If you ever give anybody exercise advice, tell them this: Start lifting weights as early as possible and maybe they won't have to go through what I'm going through."
