From Marcia Purse, your Guide to Bipolar Disorder
I frequently get emails and read comments from people who think they are wrongly diagnosed with bipolar disorder. (Sometimes I wonder if rather than being bipolar, I'm just, well, weird.) For all of us, the possibility of there being a test to identify bipolar disorder is exciting.

Diagnose BP With an MRI? Could Happen!
And wouldn't it be great? You go to a psychiatrist feeling depressed, and you never realized that some of the times you felt good were actually hypomanic episodes - you were too busy enjoying the feeling and being glad the depression was gone. Yet with an MRI of your brain, the doctor could tell you actually have bipolar disorder and give you the right treatment from the start.

Got BP? Watch Out for Metabolic Syndrome
Metabolic syndrome doesn't sound scary enough to me. It should be called "You're going to get diabetes or heart disease or stroke if you don't do something about it" syndrome. And the data keep pouring in about the connection between bipolar disorder and metabolic syndrome.

I've Got Bipolar 2 - What IS That?
A doctor has just told you that you have Bipolar II Disorder - aka Bipolar 2, bipolar type 2, and so on. Or maybe it's the diagnosis of a loved one or friend. But what does that mean? Here's the answer.

Children & Teens
While a great deal of controversy still exists regarding the diagnosis criteria for children with bipolar disorder (manic depression), early onset bipolar disorder is now generally accepted. Found here are resources relating to children who have this disorder.
