Eating My Words: Making Worthwhile New Year's Resolutions

Confession: I used to fall in the cynical camp when it comes to resolutions. Why make a bunch of goals that I'm not going to reach, and then feel bad because I missed the mark I set? Bah humbug. (Or, whatever the equivalent phrase would be for New Year's Day sentiments.)

But, the thing is, I've had to eat my words. There are some goals that are worthwhile, and any progress towards them- no matter how short of the actual goal- is important.

That worthwhile goal for me? Brain health. We've only got one, and there's no brain replacement surgery out there like there is for a knee or a hip. So, let's do everything we can to care for the part of us that makes us who we are.
