Huh? Turns out it was a very badly written headline for a study on how often treatment-resistant depression is really bipolar disorder. Sheesh. Is BP Under-Diagnosed or Not? I ran across two reports on recent studies where the researchers' conclusions about under-diagnosed bipolar disorder contradict each other. The studies themselves were quite different, but addressing the question of whether bipolar disorder goes unrecognized as often as has been thought, one said no and the other said yes.
