I can always tell when the weather starts to affect my workouts. The first sign is when I start to think of all the ways I could do my workouts without actually leaving my bed. My bed, unlike my gym includes an electric blanket and two warm, purring kitties. My gym, unlike my bed, includes a variety of ways to avoid the extra layer of fat so easy to accumulate this time of year. It's quite a conundrum.

Until we can bypass the whole getting-out-of-bed-to-workout thing, I've come up with a few ways to approach your cold weather workouts to make them more comfortable and less boring. Unfortunately, these ideas don't involve an electric blanket and a soft mattress, but I'm working on it. Stay warm and have a great week!
