From Pam Stephan, your Guide to Breast Cancer
Politically savvy, tough and resilient, Elizabeth Edwards posted a good-bye message on Facebook this Monday. She passed away on Tuesday, with family and friends attending her.

The family of Elizabeth Edwards reported Monday that her breast cancer had spread beyond the breast and bones to her liver. Tuesday afternoon, they reported that she had died.  Family sources say that all three children, as well as John Edwards, were with Elizabeth at her own home in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Her doctors had hospitalized her last week and treated her, and then advised her that further treatment for her cancer would be unproductive.  Elizabeth Edwards announced that she would stop taking treatment for her Stage 4 breast cancer and transition to palliative care.

So, how do you think the doctor should tell you the bad news? Take a poll or leave me a comment.

Manage Peripheral Neuropathy During Chemo
When I was having Taxol treatments, my hands and feet would tingle and sometimes feel like somebody was using a tiny electric cattle prod on me. That was how I experienced peripheral neuropathy. My second oncologist - a great communicator - suggested I try some stuff from the health food store. It worked! Read about Glutamine powder here.
