The so-called “friendly bacteria” that are found in fermented foods like yogurt, sauerkraut, and kombucha already carry a lot of health benefits like improved digestion and decreased inflammation. But a brand new review of 23 studies is suggesting that these bacteria, which are also called “probiotics,” may help your seasonal allergies. Researchers from Vanderbilt University Medical Center found that in three quarters of the studies they looked at, people who took probiotics improved at least one aspect of their allergies.
