Self-esteem is a term used to describe how we think and feel about ourselves. When a person has a healthy amount of self-esteem, they are able to accept their shortcomings, work on improving themselves, and believe in their capacity to achieve. Those with poor self-esteem, on the other hand, often view themselves as inadequate and are typically dissatisfied with their lives. Low self-esteem is also attributed to various physical and mental health issues, including headaches, depression, and anxiety disorders. Many people with panic disorder are also dealing with self-esteem issues. However, having panic disorder does not mean you have live with low self-esteem.
