Let's be straight here- when it comes to yoga mats, it really doesn't matter what kind you have. Most any mat will do, yet there is still a competitive marketplace for which mats are the cushiest, grippiest, longest lasting, most earth friendly, you name it. So here's your chance to weigh in on which mat you like the best, and why.

What's Your Favorite Yoga Mat?
Is it Manduka, Jade, Gaiam, or something else? Everyone seems to feel strongly about their favorite yoga mat. Share why you love your mat; is it the thickness, traction, longevity, material, pretty pattern? Do tell!

A great yoga bag lets you carry your mat in a functional, stylish way. I'm partial to bags with straps or pouches for your mat so that you can just add your mat to your load on the days that you need it.

Pose of the Week - Bow Pose - Dhanurasana
I've recently added a bow pose to my daily stretch routine and it feels good! I'm not a natural backbender, but when I decide to work on a pose, I find it's essential do it frequently, every day if possible. If you have sensitive hip points, like me, put some padding under them so they won't hurt.
