As someone with bipolar II disorder, I've never personally experienced any of the psychotic features that can wreak havoc on the lives of people with bipolar I, schizophrenia and other illnesses that can have symptoms of psychosis. Hallucinations and delusions are common to all these conditions. Learn about them, and to help others understand what you go through, describe your own hallucinations and/or delusions.

What Are Hallucinations?
Hallucinations are most often associated with mental illness schizophrenia and similar conditions. They may also occur for those with bipolar disorder when either depression or mania has psychotic features. Here's a look at hallucinations.

What Are Delusions?
Delusions are false beliefs that are firmly held. Like hallucinations, delusions are an aspect of the psychotic features of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder and other illnesses.
