How To Manage Stress

From Elizabeth Scott, M.S., your Guide to Stress Management
As a child, when I celebrated St. Patrick's Day surrounded with faux four-leaf clovers, musing about "The Luck Of The Irish", and fantasizing about what wishes I'd choose if I were to find a leprechaun, the idea of being lucky seemed a little more tangible and within my reach. As adults, I think many of us think of luck as arbitrary or nonexistent, and don't realize that we really can create the conditions for greater luck in our lives, even when we're dealing with heavy issues and stress. This newsletter brings luck-increasing tools and tips. May the rest of your week be as wonderful as you wish it to be! (For more stress tips, join the Facebook Group About Stress Management. Hope to see you there!) -Elizabeth

How To Increase Your Luck
Here are three ways you can increase luck in your life. Find resources to create this luck, and share your own tips in the comments section to spread the luck!

The Write Way To Find Luck
Journaling has long been known as a route to stress relief, and is one of my favorite methods to recommend and use in my personal life. Here's a journaling technique that can help you be more lucky in your life!

Quiz: How Much Of An Optimist Are You?
Optimists tend to see and seize opportunities that pessimists miss. Hence, raising your level of optimism can help you capitalize on the luck you already have! This quiz can help you to understand where you stand right now, and provide targeted resources to move you to a more optimistic place. Note: Optimism and pessimism aren't as obvious as you may think. To gain the most benefit from this test, take the whole quiz and then read the explanations as to why an answer shows a positive or negative explanatory style. You may be surprised!
