From Ann Pizer, your Guide to Yoga
As a yoga newsletter subscriber, you may not be aware that About.com offers health information on a wide variety of subjects, including fitness topics, healthy living, and a range of diseases and conditions. This month, many of us health guides have teamed up to bring you a special collaboration: What Not To Say.

5 Things Not to Say to Someone Who Does Yoga
As students of yoga, we work on becoming comfortable in our own skins. Part of this is not really caring what anyone else thinks about our lifestyle choices, including what ignoramuses have to say on the subject of yoga. Yet most of us aren't yet so blissed out that we can't be annoyed by the insensitive comments that occasionally come our way. Here are five things NOT to say to people who do yoga, and a few snappy comebacks you can use if you find yourself on the receiving end of these remarks.

Tell us the best (worst?) clueless comments your yoga practice has elicited. We shared ours and how to turn them into teachable moments. Now it's your turn!

What Not To Say Round-Up
What not to say to someone who's trying to quit smoking, what not to say to someone who can't eat gluten, what not to sat to someone on a low carb diet, what not to say to someone who is depressed, and many more topics, all written by About.com experts.

Pose of the Week - Boat Pose - Navasana
A teacher of mine took us through a great exercise in boat pose the other day. Start the pose with the knees bent, shins parallel to the floor, and hold onto the backs of your thighs so that the spine and legs are making a nice V shape. If you can maintain the V, let go of the thighs. Stay here or extend the legs straight, but only if you are keeping the thighs and spine in the same V shape. If you progress along and discover that your legs and torso are getting further and further apart, go back to one of the preceding versions.
