One area of research in Alzheimer's disease, among many others, is that of the very early stages of the disease. Researches are trying to learn what occurs before someone fully develops the disease since other studies have concluded that some brain changes may occur years before symptoms develop. Below, research points out that self-reported cognitive decline may be one of the earliest indicators of Alzheimer's. The studies were presented at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference last week.
