| | In 2004, a movie came out called "Super Size Me" where the filmmaker spent a month stuffing himself with as much fast food as he could (he said 5000 calories per day) and not exercising. His body did not like this (surprise!). What bugged me was that he claimed it showed how bad fast food is, not how bad stuffing your body with as much food as you possible can and stopping exercising is. After the film my then-12 year old daughter turned to me and said "I'm glad we don't go to McDonalds". I had to point out that many of the foods she liked (bagels) weren't much better... | | Fat Head - Directors Cut ...a few years later, comedian Tom Naughton filmed a similar experiment where he ate fast food for a month -- but he limited his carbs and "used his functioning brain". He had a very different outcome, which shocked his doctor. Now he's made an updated version including some of the more recent science, and how his family's eating has evolved since the making of that movie.
