If someone asks me for my worst memory of grade school, I'm more likely to say, "I got teased all the time," rather than giving a specific instance. This is an example of overgeneral memory, and it shows up a lot in people with depression, including bipolar depression.

Blurred Memory and Depression
As I mentioned above, overgeneral mememory, or OGM, has been found to appear more often in people with a history of depression. There's a possibility that this research might lead to a possible new therapy.

Nightmares and Night Terrors in BP
I don't have nightmares as often as I used to do, but when I do, they're beauties. And I'll never forget a couple of instances of night terrors where I literally flung myself out of bed onto the floor to escape them. Turns out, these are both associated with people who have bipolar.

Adjunctive Therapy
If you're taking more than one medication for your bipolar, it's possible that one of them is an example of adjunctive therapy. There are plenty of other circumstances where a treatment qualifies as adjunctive. Does one fit your situation?
