 When I first came to About.com in 2005, my new editor challenged me -- "isn't low-carb a fad that is over"?  At that time it seemed as though it could be true, but why?  The science said that it should be going strong!  This year's Nutrition and Metabolism Symposium took up the question.  Also, it's spring!  Time to clean out our diets and start afresh!  Have a healthy happy week - Laura
