Here's how yoga can help. | | Do Airplane Stretches A series of stretches you can do on the plane (yes, even in the middle seat!). Also works well for train and automobile travel. | Drink Yogi Tea Fortify your immune system and de-stress by making this chai, which comes from Kundalini yoga's Yogi Bhajan. Fill your travel mug with it before you set forth, though unfortunately you won't be able to bring it on your flight. | Try Equal Breathing If you need to calm yourself during take-off and landing, try sama vritti breathing. Focusing your full attention on the breath deters your mind from its usual activity. | Pose of the Week - Seated Forward Bend - Paschimottanasana Though yoga poses may appear to be very static (especially in photographs!), a slight amount of movement in any pose allows you to avoid rigidity and stay relaxed in the posture.
