How A, B, C and D Can Protect Against Skin Cancer

Every month, you should check yourself for skin cancer, especially if you’re spending a lot of time in the sun this summer.

But checking yourself for skin cancer is as easy as A, B, C, and D!

For instance, A is for asymmetry. Each mole should be symmetric. That means that if you draw a line down the middle, the part of the mole on either side should be a mirror image. If not, find a dermatologist and make an appointment for a skin exam.

B is for border. The border of every mole should be well-defined and clear. If it’s fuzzy, blotchy, or irregular, it should be checked out.
