From Pam Stephan, your Guide to Breast Cancer
When I got a look at how many appointments and how much recovery time my breast cancer treatment was going to take, I thought I had just gotten a part-time job! I had to learn quickly how to manage my calendar.
Personal note: The previous version of my weekly newsletter went out unedited, due to a family medical emergency.

Breast Cancer Treatment And Recovery Times
I was working full-time when I was diagnosed, and felt like I not only didn't want cancer, I didn't want the treatment schedule that came with it! My already full calendar had to be reworked several times to fit in all the appointments. Of course, if you have a social secretary, perhaps they can handle this for you. Or is there an app for that?

Handling an Emergency During Breast Cancer Treatment
I had a health emergency while in treatment with my first oncologist - when we called for help, they actually said they were booked up! So take it from me - there's other places to turn for help. Just be sure you know who to call and when to call.

Jane Gillespie - Overcomer and Breast Cancer Survivor
Jane Gillespie is a breast cancer survivor living in Australia. After treatment for breast cancer, she had a breakdown. After counseling, she went on a journey of self-discovery and reinvention. She now leads retreats for breast cancer survivors, patients, and caregivers. Read her story here.

Dorothy Anne Waters - Dancing Through Difficulty
Breast cancer survivor Dorothy Anne Waters has faced a diagnosis of breast cancer twice. She had a radical mastectomy at age 29, and then faced a tragic betrayal. Later, she lost her other breast to breast cancer and had to seek counseling. Today, this breast cancer survivor dances in competition and judges dog shows. You can see her breast cancer survivor story here.
