Yoga Stretches at Your Desk

If you sit at a desk all day, try taking a break to do these stretches a few times during your work hours. You can even set a timer to remind yourself. It's good for your health and can make your more productive.

Pose of the Week: Utkatasana - Awkward Chair

I think I do utkatasana a little bit differently each time and it definitely feels different, depending on the day. Instructors also teach it differently, with the feet together or apart, with the emphasis on an upright spine or on a deep seat. So, although I strive for safe alignment, I don't worry too much about what this pose "should" look like any more. It's more interesting to observe what it wants to be on any given occasion.
