Hot yoga is wildly popular, but can be intimidating to those on the outside of the steamed-up glass looking in. So to demystify things a little, we did some fact checking and discovered that not all heat is created equal. A lot of hot studios also offer classes at different temperatures, so you can ease your way in if you like.

How Hot Is Hot Yoga?
If you sign up for hot yoga, just how hot will it be? The answer depends a lot on the specific type of yoga that you are trying. Anyone can offer a hot yoga class just by cranking up their heater, so there's not always a standard temperature, though most aim for between 90 and 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Pose of the Week - Ear Pressure Pose - Karnapidasana
In honor of April 1st, I decided to feature the silliest looking yoga pose I could think of, and I came up with karnapidasana. I mean this not as any comment on the virtues and benefits of this pose, which are numerous, but you must admit it looks pretty funny. If you have another silly pose to nominate, leave a comment.
