Last week's newsletter was all about finding stress relief. I mentioned exercise as a good choice and I know a lot of us do go that route. For example, one of my readers mentioned that she takes her dogs for a brisk, determined walk whenever her blood pressure starts to rise from too much stress.
However, the next most popular way to relieve stress, according to an informal survey of family, clients, friends, etc. is: Drinking.
Moderate drinking isn't always a bad thing, which is why I hate to bring up the whole issue of alcohol and weight gain. Yet that's exactly what I'm doing because knowledge is power.
Sometimes it's depressing too.
