| Did you know that April is Irritable Bowel Syndrome Awareness Month? If you live with IBS, or are close to someone who does, they you probably did know. Otherwise, I'm guessing the answer is no. You may be wondering why anyone would want to talk about or know about this stuff unless they have to. You might imagine that living with IBS and having sex when your body is leaky and hurts is only a burden. However hard it is to believe, I'll tell you that you think that way because you lack imagination. Knowing more about your body doesn't make sex worse. It's no guarantee that it will make sex better either, but anything that changes your experience of your body, that brings you in more intimate contact with the inner workings and contours of your fleshy self, has the potential to deepen your experience of sex and sexuality. If you're not convinced, read on. ~ Cory |
