That doesn't even count the people with "pre-prediabetes" - people who haven't crossed the line into prediabetes or metabolic syndrome, but for whom the disease process has already begun. The thing is that we absolutely know that a reduced-carbohydrate diet can help stabilize blood sugar and help people avoid the devastation that diabetes often causes.
