People often ask me about eating grains, or missing grains. The answer is that it really depends on the individual -- how much carbohydrate your body can tolerate, and whether grains make you feel good or bad (wheat can be a problem for a surprising number of people). This week we take a look at some grains that some people can include in their diets. But rest assured, you don't have to eat them to have a healthy diet! Have a great week - Laura

Can We Eat Grains?
I've been without grain foods so long that with rare exceptions I don't really miss them. But some do, and some can eat more carb in their diet that I can. Here's some info on making good choices if you're going to eat some grain foods.

How Much Grain Food?
When I went to the USDA Web site to see what the Dietary Guidelines say, I was actually surprised by how little they recommend. I think a lot of people eating the Standard American Diet would do well simply to cut back to the U.S. Dietary Guidelines! Who would have thought?
