What Is High Cholesterol?
Cholesterol is a naturally-occurring substance in the body. In fact, you need cholesterol to perform a variety of important functions in the body. But when cholesterol levels become too high, it can potentially cause health problems.

What Are the Symptoms of High Cholesterol?
A vague pain here, a fever -- most of the time you get sick, there are certain symptoms that let you know that something is wrong. However, with certain conditions causing heart disease -- including high cholesterol -- those symptoms may not be necessarily there.

Getting Your Cholesterol Checked
Getting your cholesterol checked is one of the most important things you can do to protect yourself against heart disease. Find out how often you need to get tested, and what to expect when getting tested. (Hint: it's a lot easier than you think.)
