Looking through a catalog for outdoor furniture, my husband and I idly wondered: If we bought that oversized pool float, would we suddenly look like the couple lounging on it (who were, of course, devoid of any wrinkles, body fat, zits, nose hair or any other noticeable flaws)?

Also, would we magically sprout a pool in our backyard?

Looks are important and there's no doubt most of us would be thrilled to wake up looking like these pool-float models. The reality is, even with hours of exercise and strict dieting, most of us wouldn't look like that anyway. So why not focus on getting the best body you can? Not one that looks amazing (although that's a great bonus), but one that feels amazing?

Either that, or stop reading those catalogs.
