| | As the new year gets underway, many people seek out a fresh start by doing an intensive period of exercise and dieting. Let's call it the boot camp approach. Here are three popular at-home programs that include yoga. | | The Ultimate Yogi The Ultimate Yogi is a series of yoga DVDs that offers 108 consecutive days of yoga, meditation, and the Common Sense Food Program, which eliminates processed foods. I found the yoga, as instructed by Travis Eliot, to be solid, but some of the presentation is a little cheesy. | DDP Yoga This program is the brainchild of former pro wrestler Diamond Dallas Page. It also includes some dietary recommendations and the exercises are a hybrid of yoga and other forms of strength training. DDP Yoga received a lot of attention in 2012 when a formerly disabled vet named Arthur Boorman credited it with transforming his health. | P90X Yoga This one's a little bit of a fudge, since I haven't reviewed the whole P90X system, only the yoga component. It would be a good choice for someone who wants a really diverse set of workouts that includes a little yoga. | Pose of the Week - Eye of the Needle If you ever get to yoga class a little early and want to look busy by doing a little warm-up stretch, this is the one: eye of the needle. It feels great and will help prepare you for any hip openers that come your way. If you are tight in the hips, just leave the bottom foot on the floor. | | | | Related Searches | | | | Featured Articles | | | | | | Sign up for more free newsletters on your favorite topics | | | | You are receiving this newsletter because you subscribed to the About.com Yoga newsletter.
