If you wear short shorts for yoga, we have you (barely) covered this summer with a lot of different style options. Longer shorts are a little harder to come by, but we found some solid choices there too. And while we're at it, let's look at pants and panties too.

Yoga Shorts for Women
With inseams from 2 to 10.5 inches, how much thigh you want to show is completely up to you. Of course, we included the brands you know, like lululemon and Prana, but you'll also find shorts from Hot Drop, Lole, Hyde, Alo, and more.

Best Yoga Pants for Women
Yoga pants still have their place, even in the hot months. In fact, some experts even recommend them over shorts for hot yoga because they are less slippery than bare, sweaty legs. (See What to Wear for Hot Yoga.) Get our recs here.

Pose of the Week - Tree Pose - Vrksasana
I get knocked down, but I get up again.

Sorry to lay the Chumbawamba on you, but this lyric always pops into my head when I fall over in yoga class, which happens frequently. It happens to everyone, no matter how experienced or advanced. Even in something as simple as a tree pose. An imaginary puff of air blows by and you feel yourself begin to waver from side to side. You try to regain your balance but it's too far gone, you have to step out. The important thing is what happens next. Do you feel angry, frustrated, bad about yourself? Or are you able to laugh, shake your head, think of Chumbawamba, and try again? My teacher was talking this week about the Buddhist idea that being enlightened isn't about being perfect, it's about being ok with your imperfections. Luckily, this is something we get to practice all the time.
