This week's new article, Mindfulness During Exercise, was inspired by a specific moment at the gym when my bluetooth headphones (for which I will provide a review soon, if you're interested in wireless headphones) ran out of juice and I had to finish my workout with no music.
Forced mindfulness isn't as fun as voluntary mindfulness, but it was a good reminder that focusing on what you're doing can completely change your workout. Sometimes, that's actually a good thing.
That is, until you take off your useless headphones only to discover that the woman on the treadmill next to you is singing to herself in a loud, slightly charming, but grating kind of way.
Note to self: Charge headphones before workout.
