And yet when people share with me stories of their own sexual compromises I often hear about the judgement they experience from others. As if our sex lives are somehow separate from the rest of our lives, and sex should remain some sort of idealized hallowed act, untouched by the messy realities of our daily lives. It may look that way in the movies, but in real life we are having sex WHILE living.
