It seems obvious to us -- foods with added sugars are among the very worst food choices -- and we're finally finding out the many ways in which this is true.  A few months ago I reported on a milkshake study which showed that the more a food raises our blood sugar, the hungrier we will be. Now this one looks at the different effects of fat and sugar in a milkshake.  Also, some ideas for quick low-carb meals in this busy time of year.  Have a happy week!  Laura

I guess it shouldn't surprise me that "fat and sugar" get lumped together as "the bad stuff" in today's diet.  Recently, the "addictive" qualities of foods have been getting more attention, particularly how are brains react to different foods. Now some researchers try to untangle the differences between the effects of fats and sugars.
