If you've ever started an exercise program and hated every second of it, there's a good chance you've broken the most Important Rule of Exercise: Do what you like.

This happened to a client of mine who decided she wanted to train for a half-marathon, thinking this would be a great way to lose weight.

The problem? She hated running. Hated it from the first day and continued to hate it until she finally ran the half-marathon...which she also hated.

All this hate led to her rather dramatic announcement that "Exercise sucks and I'm never doing it again!"

Doing something you loathe is sure to make you think exercise sucks. If that's your general feeling, maybe it's time to find an activity you can actually enjoy.
