Preliminary study results from ADACTA (ADalimumab ACTemrA) revealed that rheumatoid arthritis patients who received RoACTEMRA (tocilizumab) as monotherapy achieved a significantly greater reduction in disease activity (using DAS28) after 24 weeks than those given adalimumab (Humira) monotherapy. Researchers Discover Potential New Approach for Treating RA
Researchers from Newcastle University (UK) have discovered a promising new approach for treating rheumatoid arthritis. Rather than blocking signals in the body that activate the immune system to attack one or more joints, the new approach would actually prevent white blood cells cells from entering the joints and causing damage.
