Bacon is probably not your your list of healthy foods - and for good reason - it's loaded with saturated fat and various added ingredients. But, there's no denying the aroma and the flavor - people love bacon. Can bacon co-exist with a healthy diet? I think so, as long as you use it as a condiment.

Raising Picky Eaters
Raising kids who are picky eaters can be frustrating and downright depressing at times. It may be genetic, or at least some of us have a genetic tendency to dislike bitter flavors that are a part of so many vegetables - and it takes a few (or a lot) of years to grow out the bitter-vegetable hating phase.

Mediterranean Diet and Heart Health
Research shows the Mediterranean diet, which is high in fruits and vegetables, whole-grains, low-fat dairy, fish, nuts and legumes is good for your heart. And there are several studies that suggest following a Mediterranean diet may improve your chances of living longer, decrease your risk of metabolic syndrome, and help to prevent Alzheimer's.
