The reasons for this are many and have as much to do with gender, race, class, and privilege as they do with the practice itself. I'm not sure if a little reflexivity is too much to ask. My problem with the findings of a new study on penile sensitivity and circumcision isn't with what they found, it's with what they think their findings mean.
